In the use of products in the silicone rubber industry, there are different materials matching for different fields and industries, among which the gas phase collagen material accounts for the vast majority. Fluorosilicone rubber product is one of them. It is mainly used in application and mechanical construction as well as in some heavy industries. Therefore, its performance and aging are much more prominent than many rubber and plastic materials. What is your understanding of it?
Fluorosilicone is also known as trifluoropylmethylpolysiloxane, also known as special silicone rubber. Its main materials are carbon tetrafluoride and ethylene as raw materials, which can be combined with trimethyltrifluoropylcyclotrisiloxane and a proper amount of tetramethyltetravinyl ring. Tetrasiloxane and a small amount of end capping agent are solidified and mixed under the catalysis. Compared with silicone rubber, its materials have better properties With effective improvement, the service life of the finished product is the most obvious difference.
The important characteristics of fluorosilicone rubber products are as follows:
1、 Oil resistance, solvent resistance and chemical resistance
Compared with methyl vinyl silicone rubber, fluorosilicone rubber has excellent oil resistance, solvent resistance and chemical resistance; even compared with fluorosilicone rubber, it has good oil resistance and solvent resistance. After impregnation in the same medium, temperature and time, it shows excellent durability. It can be said that fluorosilicone rubber is the only elastomer that can resist non-polar medium at - 68 ℃ ~ 232 ℃. The resistance of fluorosilicone rubber to methanol containing gasoline is also good. Even in the gasoline / methanol mixed system, the hardness, tensile strength and volume of its vulcanizate have little change. After 500 hours of immersion test, the physical properties of the vulcanizate have almost no change.
2、 Heat resistance
The high temperature decomposition of fluorosilicone rubber is the same as that of silicone rubber, that is, side chain oxidation, main chain fracture, side chain thermal decomposition and various composite reactions. As the decomposition products will also cause the main chain to break, so the heat resistance is generally worse than that of silicone rubber, which has begun to oxidize and age at 200 ℃. However, by adding a small amount of heat stabilizers such as iron, titanium, rare earth oxides and so on, it can be significantly improved, even at 250 ℃ high temperature, it has enough heat resistance. The effect of temperature on fluorosilicone rubber is bigger than that of silicone rubber, but smaller than that of fluorosilicone rubber. The service life of fluorosilicone rubber at 150 ℃× 2000h, 175 ℃× 5000h and 200 ℃× 4000H has also been studied abroad. The result is next to that of methyl vinyl silicone rubber.
