In recent years, the aesthetic restoration technology of ceramic veneer in the anterior teeth area, whether it is materials (ceramics, composite resin and adhesives used in the bonding process), or operation methods (such as the use of minimally invasive methods and non-invasive pure bonding process), has developed very mature.


This paper analyzes the repairing technology of ceramic veneer in some technical institutes, and introduces emphatically the process of mold restoration. In the previous articles, it has been mentioned that in the more complex process, or in the process requiring high precision, it is recommended to use the addition molding compound silicon rubber. The "carrot model" process (also called "gler model" in some places) needs to make a movable platform. According to the current mainstream production, it is the non-invasive porcelain veneer technology mentioned above.






According to some authors, the improved "gler model" process is a great progress of "soft tissue casting". The working model can be used directly, but it is not suitable for aesthetic restoration (full crown restoration or ceramic veneer in anterior teeth area). On the contrary, we need to restore the tooth position, the tooth surface texture, the cutting edge and the soft tissue structure accurately with the abutment on the working model.
