Structure of mechanical seal for reactor


The mechanical seal consists of static ring, moving ring, elastic element, spring seat, set screw, auxiliary seal ring of rotating ring and auxiliary seal ring of static ring. The anti rotation pin is fixed on the gland to prevent the rotation of static ring. Dynamic ring and static ring can also be called compensation ring or non compensation ring according to whether they have axial compensation ability.






The moving ring and the shaft rotate together, and the moving ring and the static ring are closely connected to form a sealing surface to prevent medium leakage. The moving ring relies on the pressure of the liquid in the seal chamber to make its end face compact on the end face of the static ring, and produces appropriate specific pressure on the end faces of the two rings and maintains a very thin liquid film to achieve the purpose of sealing.






The pressing element produces pressure, and even when the reactor is not working, the end face remains close to ensure that the sealing medium does not leak out, and prevent impurities from entering the sealing end face. The sealing element plays the role of sealing the gap between the moving ring and the shaft, the gap between the static ring and the gland, and the elastic element acts as a buffer for the vibration and impact of the reactor.
