Sealing device of reactor
The sealing of reactor includes static sealing and dynamic sealing.
For the reactor, the static seal is usually used at the leakage points of the head flange and cylinder flange, connecting pipe flange, manhole, hand hole, thermometer connecting pipe, sight glass, pressure gauge connecting pipe, etc., because the sealing surface is relatively static. The static seal is relatively easy to solve, generally using various forms of static seal gasket.
The leakage point at the gap between the mixing shaft and the kettle body, due to the relative movement between the rotating mixing shaft and the still kettle body (upper head), the dynamic sealing device: mechanical seal and packing seal must be used to prevent the leakage of the medium.
Packing seal: it has simple structure and convenient packing and disassembly, but its service life is short due to some fatal weaknesses of packing seal, which is not applicable under high parameter working conditions (high temperature, high pressure, high speed, high vacuum, etc.).
Mechanical seal: the mechanical seal is widely used in the reactor. According to the specific working conditions of the reactor, special structural design, material selection, lubrication and cooling measures can be considered for the mechanical seal for the reactor to meet the process requirements.
Compared with the soft packing seal, the mechanical seal has the following characteristics:
In the long-term operation, the sealing state is very reliable, and the leakage rate is very small. The leakage rate is only 1 / 100 of that of the soft packing seal;
In oil and water media, the service life is generally 1-2 years or longer, even in chemical media, it can be more than half a year;
The friction power consumption of mechanical seal is small, and its friction power is only 10% - 50% of that of soft packing seal.
