Generally, when the hardness of silicone is 20-40, the tear strength and elongation are in the best state. In addition, the lower the viscosity (the better the fluidity), the more favorable it is for vacuuming and removing bubbles, but at the same time the tear strength will also become poor, and the number of re-molding will be reduced.



0 degree hardness mold silicone is super soft silicone, which is an addition type colorless transparent liquid with excellent electrical properties and chemical stability, water resistance, ozone resistance, weather aging resistance, non-corrosiveness, physiological inertness, low linear shrinkage, easy operation and other characteristics. It is mostly used for chest pads, shoulder pads, etc. The silicone products made are washable, bubble-free, and will not break.

5-10 degree hardness silicone is soft silicone with low hardness, good fluidity, easy pouring, and non-corrosiveness. It is very suitable for soap crafts with delicate and soft patterns. The soap molds made do not emit oil, do not deform, and have a smooth and bright surface.

10-25 degree hardness silicone is recommended for products with a size of 10-20 cm. It is suitable for product model replication with very fine patterns and pouring mold operations. This mold opening method is easier to demold and will not damage the product in the silicone mold. It can be used to make candles, various craft model replications, etc., and can also be used for clothing label embossing (plastic planting), etc. Candle silicone can be selected from condensation type and addition type. The craft silicone candles made can be ignited quickly and continue to burn normally until the candle is burned out. No oil will be emitted during the burning process

25-30 degree hardness silicone is recommended for products with a size of 30-50 cm, and it is suitable to choose the brush mold opening method. Condensation type silicone can be used for the production of silicone molds such as gypsum, cement, concrete, rapid prototyping, GRC European components, large cement components, imitation marble, artificial cultural stone, etc.; addition type transparent silicone can be used for injection molding, imitation diamond, jewelry model production, etc.

40-50 degree hardness silicone is recommended to use the brush mold (slice mold, three-dimensional mold, flat mold) operation method, which is suitable for products with not very fine patterns;

If the customer is making small products with very fine patterns, a slightly softer silicone should be used; if you are making larger products, a 32-35A° harder silicone should be used.
