Silicone is divided into solid silicone HTV/HCE and liquid silicone rubber LSR/LIM. The coloring agent commonly used for solid silicone is called color paste, which has a similar shape to solid silicone and is usually mixed with colors using a mixer. The colorant used for liquid silicone rubber is called colorant, which maintains a certain degree of fluidity. It can be mixed evenly with silicone using a mixer, or statically mixed evenly with an automatic feeder, and then processed by injection molding or scraping.

Some people also make color paste with high viscosity, called color paste, and add it to solid silicone gel. This type of mixer can be used, but it is not easy to use on a double roll machine and will extrude liquid, commonly known as "blending".
