Silicone Mold Tips

Hits: 394 img

Firstly, silicone molds used for food production generally meet food grade standards and can be directly placed in the mouth. They are generally non-toxic and can be used with confidence.

Silicone is a highly active adsorbent material. Silicone rubber has a white opaque color and is an amorphous substance. It is insoluble in water and any solvent, non-toxic and odorless, with stable chemical properties. It does not react with any substance except strong bases and hydrofluoric acid. High adsorption performance, good thermal stability, and stable chemical properties. Silicone, due to its good stability and special resistance to high and low temperatures, can be heated at high temperatures in a microwave without deformation or the release of toxic substances. It can also be stored in a refrigeration room for refrigeration. Silicone, due to its texture that is close to human skin and is non-toxic and odorless, is also very healthy for children to use silicone pacifiers. Good silicone has automatic disinfection function, does not stain, and is easy to clean. Nowadays, many fashionable households use silicone kitchenware because it can cook completely in a microwave, which is more worry free and time saving, and more importantly, it does not produce oil fumes.

Raw materials for silicone molds
1. Silicone kitchenware raw materials can be divided into ordinary silicone and meteorological silicone according to their performance.
(1) Ordinary silicone, also known as precipitated silicone.
Colors: semi transparent, milky white, light yellow, gray, etc.
Hardness: 30 °, 40 °, 50 °, 60 °, 70 °, etc., commonly used between 40 ° and 70 °.
Density: 1.1-1.12g/cm3
Elongation rate: 400%
Usage: It is commonly used in low-end silicone products such as mobile phone buttons, miscellaneous parts, conductive adhesive, etc.

(2) Meteorological glue, also known as pure silicone
Color: Transparent.
Hardness: 30 °, 40 °, 50 °, 60 °, 70 °, 80 °, etc., commonly used between 40 ° and 60 °.
Density: 1.1-1.12g/c ㎡
Elongation rate: 600% -700%
Features: Due to the good transparency and strong tensile resistance of this material; High cost
Usage: High grade products that require high elasticity, such as silicone tubes and protective sleeves.

2. Silicone raw materials can be divided into solid silicone and liquid silicone based on their physical properties.
