The composite material made of liquid silicone rubber as the insulation matrix and nano conductive carbon black particles as the filling material has excellent conductivity characteristics. The electrical resistivity of the composite material at different carbon black contents was obtained through experimental testing. When the carbon black mass fraction is greater than 4%, good conductivity can be achieved. Zou Rui et al. prepared conductive silicone rubber using ethylene based liquid silicone rubber as the matrix and nickel plated graphite as the conductive filler. The study found that when the amount of nickel plated graphite was 280 parts, the volume resistivity of the composite material could be reduced to below 0.1 Ω· cm.

Additive liquid silicone rubber is widely used in the electronic and electrical industry due to its excellent thermal stability and thermal conductivity. Adding liquid silicone rubber as a heat dissipation material for electronic devices can effectively transfer heat, improve heat dissipation, and extend the service life of electronic devices. However, the thermal conductivity of the added liquid silicone rubber without thermal conductivity additives is very low and cannot be produced industrially. Common thermal conductivity additives include Ag, Cu, Ca, Al2O3, AlN, BN, etc. The type, content, particle distribution, and surface modification of thermal conductive additives can all affect the thermal conductivity of liquid silicone rubber.
