Since the outbreak of the epidemic, the college has strictly implemented the requirements of the Ministry of education, Beijing Municipality and the school for epidemic prevention and control, effectively ensuring the health of teachers and students and the safety of the campus. Time flies by. Have you ever turned up the Yellow photos and recalled the details of your alma mater. The early class classroom slipped in the back door in a hurry, rushed to the dining hall of Xueyi, the sweaty playground of Tian Jiabing, and the ginkgo leaves falling from the ginkgo Avenue. I always say that graduation is far away, and I will go to different places in an instant. Beilin! Touch the weakest string in the heart of information students, bearing the best memories of youth.
I'm sure you will remember that the school was founded in 2001. Its history can be traced back to the computing center established in 1984 and the first forestry information management major in China established in 1986. In recent years, the college has undertaken the research of national "863" plan, public welfare industry special project, national key R & D plan, National Natural Science Foundation and other projects, and led the construction of forestry intelligent information processing engineering technology research center of national forestry and grassland administration. 14 excellent textbooks have been compiled and published, including 5 national planning textbooks, 1 national excellent textbook and 5 Beijing excellent textbooks. It won one advanced collective award of moral education in Beijing, one second prize of teaching reform achievement in Beijing, and one person was awarded the title of famous teacher in Beijing. In 2019, our computer science and technology major was listed as the first batch of first-class professional construction sites in Beijing.
Today, the college has six undergraduate majors, namely, information management and information system, computer science and technology, digital media technology, network engineering, Internet of things engineering, data science and big data technology. It has the right to confer master's degree in computer science and technology, forestry information engineering, electronic information (including software engineering, computer technology, etc.), agricultural engineering and information technology; meanwhile, it has the right to confer doctor's degree in forestry information engineering. The college also carries out international joint education with the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) to continuously expand the student development platform.
In the past 19 years, the college has always been committed to educating people, adhering to the fundamental task of cultivating people through morality, and cultivating thousands of outstanding scientific and technological and innovative talents. A large number of alumni have become the business backbone and backbone of the unit, and play an important role in key areas of all walks of life!
