Recently, the planning and design team, led by Professor Li Xiong of the school of landscape architecture of Beijing Forestry University, composed of Professor Dong Li, Professor Zheng Xi, and associate professors Yao Peng, Cao Shan, and Hao Peiyao, successfully completed the overall planning task of the National Botanical Museum Park and successfully passed the online review of the expert group.
According to the important instructions of Premier Li Keqiang, the national development and Reform Commission and other relevant ministries and commissions agreed to establish a large health industry demonstration area in Kunming, Yunnan Province through the construction of the national plant museum. The park is located in Panlong District in the north of Kunming City, Yunnan Province, at the junction of urban space and ecological space, suburban shallow mountain and plain area of built-up area, with a total planning area of 12.45km? (Fig. 1, 2).

Based on international vision and world vision, the design team adheres to the people-centered, new ideas and new ideas to promote the planning as a whole, and establishes the planning vision of "establishing the potential of mountains and rivers, enriching the natural things, shaping the land for health and cultivation, and blooming the flowers of the prosperous times". To achieve the three overall goals of "the top domestic and International Botanical Museum, the core botanical garden of the National Botanical Garden system, and Yunnan healthy life destination". The planning scheme makes full use of the location advantages of Kunming "plant kingdom", reconstructs the landscape structure by combing the site, integrates the existing rich scientific research and landscape resources, and constructs the overall planning structure of "one mind leading, multi-point blooming, branch extension". By building a "4 + 24" special garden system, 8 major theme landscape areas, and combining the health care network and theme tour lines throughout the park, a high-quality public space integrating tourism, leisure, scientific research, science education, health care and ecological protection will be built to drive and promote the high-quality development of the City and effectively enhance the sense of access and happiness of the people (Figure 3).

The overall planning of the National Botanical Museum Park lasted nearly one year. After many on-site investigations, many discussions with relevant experts, and many reports to the main leaders of Kunming City and the planning and construction headquarters of the National Botanical Museum, it has been fully recognized and praised by many parties.
The novel coronavirus epidemic was affected by the new cov epidemic situation in March 16, 2020. The planning and design team overcame many difficulties and made use of various online platforms. The planning and design results were highly appraised and recognized by the experts and the planning and construction headquarters of the national botany Museum, and the North Lin Yuan forest people were fearless in practical action.
