The molding process is the production process of solid silica gel. It is combined with two modules, with a mold core placed in the middle, so it is called molding silicone rubber. The main production process of molded silicone rubber products is the processing process of silicone rubber products formed by silicone rubber raw materials in the closed mold cavity by heating and pressurizing. Usually the raw material is evenly stirred by the mixing machine into the mixing glue, and then the mold is moved into the vulcanization molding machine. Molding should pay attention to the problem
1. When silica gel products are formed, silicone rubber is pressed under high pressure. Because the cohesion of the elastomer cannot be eliminated, silicone rubber tends to produce extremely unstable shrinkage when forming and leaving the mold (the shrinkage rate of silica gel is different due to different types of rubber), which must be alleviated and stabilized after a period of time. Therefore, at the beginning of the design of silica gel products, regardless of formula or mold, it is necessary to carefully calculate with comprehensive consideration, otherwise it is easy to produce unstable size of silica gel products, resulting in a decline in product quality.
2. Silica gel is a thermosetting elastomer, while plastic is a thermosetting elastomer. Silica gel because of different types of silica gel vulcanizing agent, the temperature range of its molding and curing, there is also a considerable gap, even silicone rubber vulcanization can be affected by climate change, indoor temperature and humidity. Therefore, the production conditions of silica gel products need to be adjusted moderately at any time, otherwise, the quality of products may be different.
3. Silica gel products are made of silicone rubber mixed rubber made from silicone raw material by the mixer as the raw material. During the rubber mixing, the formula is designed according to the characteristics of the required silicone rubber products, and the required product hardness and the type of silicone rubber vulcanizing agent is determined. Silicone rubber products are molded by rubber flat vulcanizing machine. After the product molding, the final fly-edge treatment, the product surface treatment is smooth without burrs.
4. In the process of silicon rubber molding vulcanization, there will be problems such as sticking mold, edge warming, air bubbles and incomplete vulcanization white spots, etc., which need to adjust the mold temperature, exhaust time and mold pressure.
