Raw rubber is the abbreviation of methyl vinyl silicone rubber, which is copolymerized by dimethylsiloxane and a small amount of vinyl siloxane. The vinyl content is generally 0.04% ~ 0.3% (mole fraction), with transparent appearance and excellent fluidity, it is the basic raw material for the production of mixed silicone rubber. The vinyl content of commonly used methyl vinyl silicone rubber is generally 0.04, 0.08, 0.16, 0.24, etc., which is produced with different vinyl content materials according to different properties of mixed silicone rubber.

Raw rubber can be cross-linked to form elastomer at high temperature after adding reinforcing filler (precipitate / fumed silica) and additives.
