Wake's Expansion of Organic Silicon Elastomer Productivity in China

Today, Wake's new silicone elastomer production line at Zhangjiagang production base in China is officially launched. The annual production capacity of the production line will reach thousands of tons, which can provide strong support for Wake's future business growth in China and increase the supply of high temperature vulcanized silicone rubber (HCR) in the Asia-Pacific region. The new production line is equipped with two world-class mixing equipment, which can produce high quality HCR product series. This tens of millions of euros expansion project highlights Wake's solemn commitment to the Chinese market and its technological leadership in the silicone rubber industry.

"Today, the completion of the silicone rubber expansion plant is not only another important milestone for Wake in expanding its business in China, but also demonstrates our firm determination to further develop and serve the Chinese and Asian markets." Paul Lindblad, president of Wake Greater China, said at the opening ceremony of the expansion plant. The expansion of the silicone elastomer plant is another strong example of Wake's continued investment in China's production facilities. "With the new production line, we will greatly increase the production capacity of silicone rubber, so as to provide stronger support for our customers and partners to help them meet challenges and seize opportunities in today's rapidly changing and increasingly complex market environment." Limbaugh said.

Christian Gimber, Vice President of Silicone Business Unit of Wake Engineering, highlighted the growing market demand for special silicone products and high-quality silicone rubber. "Nowadays, high temperature vulcanized silicone rubber is widely used and is expected to maintain a growth trend." Gimber said. In the past decades, the demand for solid organosilicon elastomers has grown rapidly, especially in China. "Today, China has become the largest silicone elastomer market in the world."

The new production line is located in a newly built complex with an area of about 2,000 square meters. The production line is equipped with the largest mixing equipment of the same scale in the world. Its mixing and screening equipment and advanced waste treatment technology are also in the leading position in the production efficiency and sustainable development. The new production line will help shorten delivery time, improve market response speed and optimize customer experience as a whole.

Wake in China

Wake had set up a branch office in Greater China 26 years ago, and since then he has been actively engaged in business activities in Greater China. Today, Wake has seven sales representations, two technology centers and three production bases in China's major economic zones. Wake mainly produces silicone and polymer products at two production bases in Zhangjiagang and Nanjing. These two production bases are located in Jiangsu Province, which is the largest production plant of the same scale in China.
