Introduction and classification of RTV silicone rubber:
Room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber (RTV) is a new type of silicone elastomer, which was developed in 1960s. The remarkable feature of RTV is that it can be cured in situ without heating or pressing at room temperature, so it is very convenient to use. Therefore, as soon as it came out, it quickly became an important part of the whole silicone product.

At present, RTV silicone rubber has been widely used as adhesives, sealants, protective coatings, potting and molding materials, and has its applications in all walks of life.

Room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber can be divided into single-component and two-component room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber according to its packaging method, and can be divided into condensation type and addition type according to the vulcanization mechanism. Therefore, RTV silicone rubber can be divided into three types according to its composition, curing mechanism and application process, i.e. one-component RTV silicone rubber, two-component condensation RTV silicone rubber and two-component addition RTV silicone rubber. The three series of RTV silicone rubber have their own characteristics: the advantages of one component RTV silicone rubber are convenient to use, but the deep curing speed is difficult; the advantages of two-component RTV silicone rubber are no exothermic heat during curing, small shrinkage, no expansion, no internal stress, curing can be carried out at the same time on the inside and the surface, and deep curing can be carried out; the sulfur of addition molding RTV silicone rubber The curing time is mainly determined by the temperature, so the curing rate can be controlled by adjusting the temperature.

Among many synthetic rubbers, silicone rubber is the best one. It has the characteristics of tasteless, non-toxic, not afraid of high temperature and cold resistance. At 300 ℃ and - 90 ℃, it is "calm" and "unchanged", and still has the original strength and elasticity. Silicone rubber also has good electrical insulation, oxygen and aging resistance, light and aging resistance, mould resistance and chemical stability.
