Taking the manufacturing and copying of Maitreya Buddha mold as an example, the manufacturing process of silicone rubber mold is explained.
(1) select the bottom opening as the positioning part, turn it over and pour gypsum into the cavity, its height is about 30mm higher than the bottom, and dig out the pit for later positioning.
(2) paste rubber paste. A layer of rice paper is pasted on the surface of the utensil, and then a 5mm thick plasticine is evenly pasted on the surface.
(3) plaster profiling. In order to support and fix the RTV mold and prevent its elastic deformation, plaster profiling is first made outside the mud layer. Make plaster image one by one according to the approximate parting surface. Pay attention to the positioning between plaster models. The gypsum slurry is gypsum: water = 1:1.
(4) RTV forming die manufacturing. Start the plaster in reverse order, remove the plasticine, clean it up, apply parting agent on the utensil and plaster mold respectively, and then close the mold.
(5) at the same time, weigh the RTV components in proportion, and mix them thoroughly. In the mixing process, RTV and TEOS react under the action of promoter organotin, which will produce low molecular alcohols. During the pouring of silicone rubber, there will be pores on the molding mold body, so it is necessary to de bubble under reduced pressure, generally in a closed container with a vacuum of 100mmhg, for about 5min.
(6) inject the silicone rubber with the bubbles removed into the mold cavity and cure at room temperature for about 24 hours.
(7) remove the plaster profiling and cut it with a razor according to the expected parting line;
(8) carefully peel the silicone rubber off the utensils, take away the utensils, and then fit the silicone rubber mold with the plaster model as it is, and the silicone rubber mold is made.
