At the Dow Chemical exhibition stand of the Expo, liquid silicone rubber shoes insoles are on display. The reporter saw that the transparent insole in the exhibition cabinet is only about one centimeter thick, with honeycomb hollow design. The liquid silicone rubber exhibited by Dow Chemical can use 3D printing technology to produce more comfortable and athletic customized shoes according to different foot shapes. It only takes more than ten minutes to complete a pair of finished shoes. According to the head of Dow Chemical, the liquid silicone rubber is produced by the group's plant in Zhangjiagang.
Dow Chemical has recently reached cooperation with Nexus elastomer systems and Germany reprap. Users can print parts in color by using liquid silicone rubber (LSR) material of Dow Chemical's silastic 3D 3335, and the color package provided by mesgo Iride colors can provide a series of color choices. Germany reprap Lam 3D printer and new color quantitative system are developed by nexus.
