Wake announced plans to expand several production bases, gradually increase the total annual production capacity of special silicone rubber by 40,000 tons by 2021, and allocate about 100 million euros of investment funds for this purpose. Through this expansion, Wake aims to meet the growing demand for silicone rubber in key industries such as global automotive manufacturing, electronics and medical technology.

Wake will significantly improve the supply and customer service of silicone rubber products in the near future by expanding upstream and final production capacity. In April this year, Wake put into operation at the new silicone sealant and heat conductive silicone mixture production base in Zhenchuan, South Korea. Wake's silicone production base in Amtala, India, which is a joint venture between Wake and Machuac, has also begun to produce room temperature curable silicone elastomers and liquid silicone rubber.

Wake Chemical Group plans to expand the production capacity of liquid silicone rubber, high temperature and room temperature curable silicone rubber and thermal conductive silicone mixture in Berghausen (Germany), Adrian (Michigan) and Zhangjiagang (China) in 2019. Wake is currently considering and studying the construction of a solid silicone production line at Charleston, Tennessee, USA. Wake has been producing polysilicon at the Charleston production base since 2016. The production base will also put into operation next year a gas-phase silicon dioxide production line, gas-phase silicon dioxide is an important filler for the production of solid silicone rubber.
