Addition liquid silicone rubber is directly vulcanized from liquid to elastomers or gels of various crosslinking densities at room temperature or under heating under the action of platinum catalyst. The vulcanization rate can be freely adjusted by the type of catalyst and inhibitor. However, during the storage vulcanization process, it cannot be exposed to organic matter containing elements such as N, P, S, and heavy metal ion compounds containing Sn, Ph, Hg, Bi, As, etc. These will poison the catalyst and hinder vulcanization.



Addition-type liquid silicone rubber does not produce by-products during the cross-linking and vulcanization process, has extremely low shrinkage, can be deeply cured, and is non-corrosive to the materials it contacts. It is the preferred infusion material in the electronic and electrical industry and can be used to make color TV high-voltage caps, copier rollers, and various silicone rubber parts for automobiles; it can be used as a shoemaking mold with high strength and good tear resistance; it can be used as a flame retardant treatment agent for transformers in televisions and video recorders, and as a gas-conditioning film for preserving fruits and vegetables.
