The eighth group transition metals have always attracted much attention due to their special catalytic properties. More than a hundred years ago, the first metal-olefin complex obtained by scholars was a compound of zero-valent platinum and ethylene, namely the famous Zeiss salt; only later did they obtain other eighth group transition metals and various olefins, such as ferrocene. But structurally speaking, the platinum atom in the sixth period has a relatively large radius and a large number of electron layers. Its inner f-layer full electron structure makes it close to the olefin double bond in terms of energy level and radius, making it more suitable for producing catalytic effects in the field of silica gel. This is also true from the actual effect point of view. Scholars have studied other eighth group transition metals and proposed to try nickel, cobalt and rhodium, but their reaction effects, initiation temperatures and applicability are not as good as metal platinum, so platinum is widely used in organosilicon addition.
Platinum catalyst is a highly active and efficient platinum catalyst that can efficiently catalyze the addition reaction of Si-Vi and Si-H without side reactions. At the same time, this product also has the advantages of good stability and strong anti-toxicity, which can well avoid the generation of black substances during storage or use of the product and reduce the impact of nitrogen-containing and sulfur-containing substances. In addition to the above advantages, it also has good selectivity, no by-products, little effect on the transparency of the rubber, can prepare highly transparent products and is environmentally friendly, and no toxic gas is released during the vulcanization process.
Application fields of platinum catalyst:
1. It can be used as a catalyst for liquid addition silicone rubber, silicone gel, addition compound rubber, electronic potting glue, silicone ink, etc.
2. Catalyst for the synthesis of polyether silicone oil, amino silicone oil, etc.
3. Other occasions for silane addition reaction.
4. Paper release agent
5. Modified silicone
6. Flame-retardant silicone products, which are highly efficient and environmentally friendly flame retardants
