Ethyl silicone rubber is a type of silicone rubber produced by introducing an ethyl group onto the side chain of dimethyl polysiloxane. The incorporation of ethyl groups disrupts the crystallization properties of traditional silicone rubber, resulting in enhanced low-temperature resistance. With a glass transition temperature as low as -147°C, it exhibits the best low-temperature performance among silicone rubbers, making it one of the most suitable materials for extreme cold environments.
