Foamed silicone belongs to two-component liquid silicone, which is composed of two components mixed together. Among them, component B is the catalyst, which can promote the transformation of foamed silicone from liquid to solid. Attention should be paid to the operation of foamed silicone:
1. The ratio of foam silicone needs to be 1:1, and an electronic scale ratio must be used. Different densities may result in inaccurate cup testing. If the ratio is too high, it will accelerate the curing of silicone gel, while if the ratio is too low, it will cause local non curing and other phenomena.
2. The operation time of foaming silicone is extremely short, only 3-5 minutes, and it must be completed within this time period. Otherwise, the silicone has already reacted and stopped foaming, making it impossible to operate again.
3. Foamed silicone belongs to food grade materials and should not come into contact with heavy metals such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and sulfur. If in contact, it will cause the contact surface of the foam silicone to not solidify and become sticky to the hands.
