Sandblasting process of silicone rubber mould
Detailed steps of sand blasting for silicone rubber mold are introduced. The impact of fine sand on the surface of the mold can improve the surface of the mold, improve the expandability and fatigue resistance of the mold.
In sandblasting process, different sands are chosen for different hardness materials. The common sands are glass sand, quartz sand, diamond sand, iron sand, resin sand and so on. In the sandblasting process, the ordinary silicone rubber manufacturer uses both diamond sand and glass sand.
Because there is no high precision requirement for dimension accuracy inside the die, and the die is usually quenched and heat-treated, two kinds of mixed sand can also be chosen. Sandblasting mainly takes coating and clears some flower marks in the die, while some processes of the core in the die have been put out. There is no electricity, so we have to choose different sand to deal with it.
The roughness of sand blasting surface depends on the coarse grain size of sand. Therefore, the surface treatment of the molds in the silicone rubber products factory is more important. The surface requirements of the general products are different with different thickness of sand. The main function is to grind some concave and convex grains in the core with sand blasting technology, remove some remaining burrs and rust to make the surface smoother. In the production process, the die will not be rough because of concave and convex grooves and other phenomena, but also make the product surface more smooth.
