He introduced to the Overseas Alumni the progress made in the development and construction of the school in recent years, the achievements made in serving the national major strategy and the construction of ecological civilization, the achievements made in the fields of landscape planning and design, the breeding of new varieties of trees and flowers, soil and water conservation and desertification control, and the construction of natural reserve system.
Li Zhe pointed out that alumni are the cornerstone of the construction and development of the University, and the work of alumni association is one of the important parts of the university work. In terms of Overseas Alumni work, we need to further strengthen the five aspects of ideological understanding, organization construction, emotional contact, service provision and support guarantee, so as to strive for the Overseas Alumni Association to play a role of kindling when the University ushers in the 70th anniversary of the founding of the University, Influence and drive more countries and regions to establish Beilin Alumni Association. He hoped that the Overseas Alumni Association would become the "new window" for Beilin's external publicity, the "bridgehead" for Beilin's talent recruitment, and the "service station" for Beilin alumni to contact.
Sun Xinli introduced the epidemic prevention and control work of the school to the Overseas Alumni. She said that since the outbreak of the epidemic, the school has always put the life safety and physical health of teachers and students first, fully implemented the decision-making and deployment of the Party Central Committee, held four work mobilization meetings in accordance with the working requirements of the Party group of the Ministry of education and the Beijing Municipal Party Committee, launched six working mechanisms, and made every effort to create a "epidemic free campus". Up to now, no suspected or confirmed cases have been found among teachers, students and retired groups. She introduced the main measures and results of the epidemic prevention and control work in our school from four aspects: strengthening leadership, improving mechanism, promoting the epidemic prevention and control work in depth; strict control, standardized management, ensuring the safety and stability of the campus; precise implementation, efficient promotion, good service for teachers and students; increasing publicity, effective guidance, and gathering consensus on epidemic prevention and control. Sun Xinli pointed out that in the next step, the school will continue to do a good job in the prevention and control of the epidemic normalization, make a thorough preparation for the resumption of school and classes, and hope that the majority of Overseas Alumni and teachers and students in the school will help each other to fight the epidemic together, and when the weather is favorable, they will gather in Beilin to share their feelings.
