The reporter learned from relevant departments that recently, nine experts from the State Forestry and grassland administration, Beijing Forestry University, Fujian agricultural and Forestry University and other units, after full discussion and inquiry at the expert review meeting held by the Provincial Forestry Bureau, unanimously agreed to pass the master plan of Wuyishan National Forest Road (Fujian) (2020-2030). At present, there is no precedent for the construction of national forest footpath in China. Among the 12 National Forest footpaths that have been released nationwide, at present, only our province has taken the lead in completing the provincial master plan.
Wuyishan National Forest footpath is one of the first five national forest footpaths published by the former State Forestry Administration in 2017. It starts from Wuping County in Fujian Province in the south, crosses Fujian, Zhejiang and Jiangxi provinces, and ends in Suichang County, Lishui City, Zhejiang Province. The total length of the line is 1160 km, including 930 km in Fujian.

Based on serving the national strategy, it is committed to meeting the public's needs for outdoor hiking, ecological experience, natural education and other aspects. It has done a lot of work in data collection, road network foundation and natural culture. The basic information is full and accurate, and the resource conditions are analyzed It is of great significance to promote the development of national forest footpath in China.
It is reported that Wuyi Mountain National Forest Trail passes through the famous Wuyi Mountains and three major water systems of Minjiang, Tingjiang and Jiulongjiang in China, and passes through nine national nature reserves in Fujian. The forest vegetation landscape along the trail has typical regional characteristics. In order to better display the high-quality forest landscape resources of our province, the compilation unit has increased 3 branch lines on the basis of the main line, and the planned length of the footpath has increased to 1616 km in Fujian.
