Art epidemic
A letter to the alumni of School of art and design, Beijing Forestry University dear Alumni:
At the end of 1911, the battle "epidemic" bell rang. In this battle without gunsmoke, we worked hard to defeat the epidemic in different ways, and also worried about the safety and health of our alumni. No matter where you are, art and Design Institute will always be your warm harbor! At present, with the joint efforts of the whole country, the trend of epidemic spread has been effectively controlled, but the responsibility of prevention and control cannot be relaxed! Alumni are also requested to strictly abide by the local epidemic prevention and control regulations, actively support and cooperate with relevant work, protect themselves and take good care of their families!
In the critical period of fighting against the epidemic, the college strictly implemented the requirements of the Ministry of education, Beijing Municipality and the school for epidemic prevention and control, and all teachers and students of the college clocked in health every day. The school also further strengthens the control measures, postpones the start of school without stopping classes, and carries out teaching activities online in an orderly manner. The campus is safe and stable, and all teachers and students are safe. Please rest assured!
Recalling the past of your alma mater, you must have many precious memories. The first teaching and second teaching echoed your loud reading sound, tianjiabing playground printed your running steps, ginkgo Avenue left your beautiful shadow, and the coffee shop around the school recorded every night when you finished your homework. Generally speaking, four years are long, and in a twinkling of an eye, we will go our separate ways. Beilin bears the most beautiful memories of the youth of art school students. Art design major of Beijing Forestry University was founded in 1993, and began to enroll art students in 1999. It is one of the "211" universities that early implemented art enrollment in China. After more than 10 years of innovation and accumulation, in 2013, the major integrated the advantages and characteristics of environmental design, industrial design, animation and other disciplines from three different colleges, and established today's art and design college.
The college has five art majors, including environmental design, product design, visual communication design, digital media art and animation, including one environmental design innovation experimental class. There are one master's degree authorization point of design, one master's degree authorization point of animation art and one master's degree authorization point of art, covering five research directions including environmental art design and theory, industrial design and theory, visual communication and theory, decorative art and theory, public art and theory, as well as two professional master's fields of art design application and art. The college has nearly 1000 square meters of teaching experiment and Exhibition Center, including visual and plane media laboratory, decoration technology manufacturing laboratory, ceramic sculpture laboratory, model CNC processing center laboratory, art design laboratory, animation laboratory, photography work laboratory, apple computer room, etc. the open and shared advantage experiment platform has laid a solid foundation for talent cultivation.
The college has a team of full-time teachers with solid professional theoretical knowledge, high academic level, strong ability to serve the society and practice, high social awareness, excellent age and academic background structure. Currently, there are 56 full-time teachers, including 9 professors and 31 associate professors. Among the teachers, there are 1 member of the Design Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of education, and 1 Graduate Education of national art degree One expert from the fine arts sub committee of the steering committee, one chairman of the National Association of art education experts in Colleges and universities, ten members of China Artists Association, one chairman of the information and interaction Professional Committee of China Industrial Design Association, one vice chairman of the Education Committee of China Industrial Design Association, and one vice chairman of Beijing Design Institute.
After years of construction, art and Design Institute has become a professional, distinctive and innovative teaching and Research Institute, enjoying a good reputation in the society. In the fourth round of discipline evaluation, the discipline of design science won the first place of C + in design science, ranking 37 out of 98 advanced schools.
The school of art and design has always adhered to the school running concept of "knowing mountains and rivers, trees and people" of Beijing Forestry University. It takes the long-standing and concise ecological art design perspective of Beilin as its educational purpose, and is committed to building a composite innovative design talent training system combining art and science and technology in a green environment. Since its establishment, many students have entered the top international design colleges and well-known design centers at home and abroad, and become the new force of design rookies and scientific research institutions in the industry. Affected by the epidemic, many units are waiting to be retooled, downsized, and the demand for recruitment is decreasing this year, which brings great challenges to the employment of graduates this year.
